The Verband Deutscher Büchsenmacher und Waffenfachhändler e.V. (VDB) was founded in 1949. It currently has over 1,700 member companies. As an association, we see ourselves as an interface association for the civilian firearms industry. Our core... target group are gunsmiths and specialist gun dealers who sell the products of manufacturers and wholesalers to all target groups in the industry. Customers of specialist gun dealers include hunters, sport shooters, collectors of historical weapons, paintballers and airsoft players, re-enactment actors, film/TV actors, but also any buyer of free defense products. We are talking about an annual customer frequency of up to 10 million people.
Of course, the VDB is an interest group (professional and trade association). We represent the interests of firearms retailers of all shapes and sizes, support our members and provide them with further training. We are the central point of contact for politics, the media and society and lobby in Berlin and Brussels. At the same time, we are available to everyone with our expertise and answer all questions about our industry - whether economic/legal framework conditions, firearms law requirements or market information.
The Association of German Gunsmiths is currently the only association that is actively campaigning for fair gun laws.
Please keep up the good work.
The trading platform progun also works without any problems and is well suited for the search for weapons and services.
I've been a DSB shooter since 1982 (currently from .22 to 12/70) and have been talking to walls for decades. Thank you for your commitment and courage. Because of your action, I left the Forum Waffenrecht and ProLegal after decades and will become a supporting member. Unfortunately, many older shooters who only watch ÖRR and are not active on YT and FB know NOTHING, but absolutely NOTHING about your campaign. I know a good dozen of them. It's even worse for hunters. Keep going and don't give up. Greetings Kai
I am very pleased that the VDB is proactively representing our interests. This fearful defensive stance and constant waiting to see what our opponents will do to us via politics must come to an end. That is why I am happy to be able to support the VDB with a sponsoring membership.
Finally a CORRECT representation for sport shooters, the gun trade and hunters. Finally positive and with strength and point of view forward than constantly backward. No other association can keep up. Hunters and sport shooters are law-abiding citizens.
I am a collector of free weapons and am pleased that an organization is now bringing movement into the jungle of the authorities.
It is unacceptable that sport shooters and law-abiding citizens are being
are harassed in this way.
I hope that common sense will prevail.
Many thanks for that
So far, I have been active in the area of support by recruiting new supporting members through the merchandise provided by the VDB.
However, I've only heard good things about the VDB in the sport shooting circles I move in, which I can confirm.
The VDB's commitment is very welcome and suits me. You don't see or hear other associations when it comes to firearms law and everything that goes with it. Keep up the good work, I am happy to support you!
They take up nonsensical regulations and "laws" and take action against them, which our associations unfortunately do not do!
Hans Ruck (hunter and sport shooter)
P.S.: Best regards to Frank Satzinger!
