As a child he was encouraged to paint by his parents but it wasn’t until he attended art school at the age of twenty that painting became a full-time profession for him. He studied at Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design where he received his bachelor’s degree and later also received an honorary doctorate from Ben Gurion University as well as an honorary professorship at Bar Ilan University.

What do you think are the most important things to know about a person before conducting an interview?
If you want to interview me, first try to contact me via email. If that doesn’t work, call me. Try to set up an appointment. If none of these things work, then you can try to interview me via Facebook. You can also email me or call me. In any case, you should know what you want to ask me before you try to interview me. Try to ask me questions that you know the answers to. This is because when I answer your questions, I won’t have time to think about the answers. Instead, I will be trying to answer your questions.
If you don’t know the answers to your questions, then you won’t be able to interview me. If you can’t think of any questions to ask me, then you can try to ask me questions about my art, my work and my life. In order to interview me, you also need to know what you are talking about.
What made you decide to become an artist?
I had many dreams, but I didn’t know which one I should choose. I studied medicine in college, and then I decided that I wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps. But then I read an article about Bezalel and I knew that was the path I want to take.
You have been working as an artist for many years. Why is it so important to continue working after 40?
It’s important because it’s my job and I love what I do. I also think that if you get old, you have nothing to lose. You don’t have to worry about your health and your family, you can just enjoy your time. When you are old, you have nothing to lose. It’s a part of our lives, but I don’t have any plans to stop.
You mentioned in your biography that you are a very private person. Why is that and what’s your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
I’m a very private person, and I don’t like to talk too much. I like to read books, paint, walk in nature and listen to music. I don’t like to watch television. I like to read and paint. I think that if you don’t have anything to do, you should try to do something positive.

It started in Lakewood in the basement of a building. We were artists and teachers and we were doing it for free. Then we moved to New York, and then to Beersheba and then back to New York. I want to make art accessible to everyone, so my studio has a free program as well as other programs that are more expensive.
Stahl Studios holds many events throughout the year including classes for children, Family Day, the annual Open Studio Night, workshops for adults and children, as well as seminars for professionals in the field of Art Therapy. Do you find these events useful or fun for both participants and spectators?
It’s a wonderful opportunity to have fun and learn something new. It’s very interesting to learn about new techniques and to see how artists work. I like to see how people learn. It’s very interesting and I like to meet new people.
Your artworks are often sought out by collectors who want them for their private collections. What advice would you give someone who wants to acquire original paintings from an Israeli artist?
The first thing you need to know is that prices are not set in stone. It’s up to the buyers if they want to pay a lot of money for artwork. But the next thing you have to know is that beautiful artwork does not make a beautiful person.
Stahl Studios hosts a wide variety of public programs including art workshops, lectures and demonstrations on topics ranging from digital printing techniques to mural painting. The programs offered at Stahl’s studios help reinforce his message that the arts are essential sources of all kinds of positive human development. Describe how your public programs promote such ideals in your local community.
It’s important to promote the arts because they help people. It’s important to know that art can help people with many problems. I think that the arts are very important and I think that we should promote them. It’s very important to promote the arts and to make sure that they are important in our society.
What do you want people to get out of your public programs?
I think that most people come to public programs because they want to learn something, improve their skills and meet new people. I think that’s what most people want. It’s good to meet new people and to learn new things.
