Constant accessibility at work and generally a very high workload has increased my stress level so much that my health, my quality of life suffered. I had trouble sleeping, was jittery and at the same time exhausted. The more I tried to manage, the more work seemed to land on me. I had enormous difficulty telling other people "no" sometimes and had a hard time delegating tasks. I felt kind of at the mercy of my stress. I really wanted to make a change, so I finally got over myself and sought outside support. I wanted to reduce being on call all the time, eliminate unnecessary phone calls and be able to hand off tasks better. I desired more ease & serenity in my life.
I was a little apprehensive at first about whether stress coaching would actually help me. I grew up in a time when it was always said: You have to deal with your problems yourself and solve them on your own. In this respect, it was a big step for me to get external help.
I am a very active, determined and motivated person and I could never really do anything with topics like yoga and relaxation. Right from the first conversation I felt understood, in good hands and got important impulses that I could then let sink in. What I particularly liked was that it was not only about how I can better deal with stress and use it positively for myself, but also about eliminating unnecessary stress at its root. Ms. Silis gets to the root cause in her coaching, which makes the whole process extremely sustainable. I found the collaboration very pleasant, tangible and down-to-earth. The conversations took place at eye level and Ms. Silis always encouraged me to get to know myself anew and to approach things with curiosity. I found her whole approach to be very pleasant and effective. I have achieved all the goals I set myself at the beginning: I feel a serious improvement in my telephone problems, I can now say no without a guilty conscience and my life is much easier as a result. I can hand over tasks much more easily and in general I approach everything much more relaxed than before the coaching.
I have internalized that I have a lot more in my hands and can achieve more than I thought before. I feel the change that has taken place - even if I can't say what exactly of all the things in the coaching has triggered it. It has been really good for me and I would recommend anyone who notices that stress is getting a bit out of hand to seek support with this - the sooner the better. I wouldn't recommend Ms. Silis to anyone either if it hadn't helped me.
